Patrick Wolf Mod Club Theatre June 17, 10 pm
Patrick Wolf immediately got the crowd going with tracks from his latest album, The Bachelor. His set started with the new single “Hard Times,” which was played very well. “Count of Casualty” blew a lot of people’s minds as Wolf projected amazing vocals and the lighting and effects definitely added to Wolf’s dramatics on stage. The set was theatric, mesmerizing and full of amazing/revealing costumes. A few minor technical difficulties led to Wolf throwing a mic stand and exiting the stage. After 20 minutes of waiting, he returned on stage in nothing but a pinstriped dress shirt and black jock strap. The crowd went wild at the sight and Wolf was not ashamed to show his “assets” to the crowd and continue his set. The night concluded with “The Vulture” and “Battle.” Wolf started first by strutting his stuff on the bar and then taking it to the crowd and performing for a mosh pit of sweaty boys and girls. Wolf’s amazing live shows are definitely not a myth and this show will go down as one of his best.
